I got really busy this past few days. I am all caught up with custom orders and instead of painting I sat my tush at the computer and created a swarm of graphics--fun fun fun :)

All of my graphics are from my own hand painted or mouse drawn artwork. This includes all backgrounds and scrolls. There are only a select few people on ebay who sell their own graphic work and when sellers are using graphics that they swiped from stock sites or scrap book sites then it is considered stealing when they in turn sell it in template format to the public. As an artist it really saddens me that this happens. Thanks for letting me vent so to speak LOL

Where have I been???

I was out in LA in October visiting my brother and Disneyland for about 2 and some change weeks. Photos will follow in a few weeks when I upload them...taking forever!!

I had a lot of orders to finish upon my return. Then I had a break for about a week or tow, and thankfully things started picking up again. I hope this lasts. This is what I have been up to....

GEEGADS I have been tagged....

A few months ago I was tagged by Christine to post 8 things people didn't really know about me. Well I have been tagged again to list another 8 by LUCY. This will be super hard because I am an open book...here it goes.

The Rules:

1. I am a die Hard Matt Dillon wanna be forever in my heart, love you till I die, fan. I am inlove!!! Shh don't tell hubby (yeah right he knows). When I was about 23 I bumped into him at a grocery store in Manhattan and followed him back to some high rise around the corner from where I lived. Too bad the doorman refused to let me in, or I would be telling you a different scenario! LOL I loved him from the moment I saw him as Dallas WInston in the movie The Outsiders. I think I have seen every movie and interview he has ever made. Sigh :)



2. I have pink eye right now- again for the third time in one month! What am I doing wrong????

3. I went to the University of Maryland, College Park, and was in a sorority. If you knew me I was soooo not the sorority type ....But I rushed and got my first choice just so I could meet hot guys. How pathetic?

4. My kids are 16 months apart. For selfish reasons I don;t recommend it, but for my kids it was the best thing I could have ever done!

5. I opened up an ebay account on Dec. 31st, 2003 (even though my ebay account says 2005) around 11pm looking for a double stoller. I was 4 months preggo and on bed rest so NYEve went out the door! My id at the time was LeUniqueBoutique

6. When I started selling my art on ebay I need a new name and came up with this:
wendys world of art- I had wendysworldoFART for a month till Ebay let me change it to what it is now.

7. I don;t eat breakfast. Unless you count a can of Diet Dr. Pepper.

8. I hate cooking. Despise it. I do cook for my family, but it is torture for me. I'd rather eat out or get take out.

That's it. I have to think of 5 people to tag now.

What am I going to do with them all day next week? I have a few orders left before my trip to NY and this HUGE 30 x 40" painting due by next Tuesday....with the kids home, this will be IMPOSSIBLE....yikes!

Polymer Clay Mini Pastries- Project with my kids tomorrow...

Got the idea from some of the girls from one of my decor groups...I am excited to
not only get rid of my stash of polymer clay (back in the day of my jewelry making LOL)
but also to do this project with my kids ..especially my daughter who has (yes count them) 3 American Dolls (thanks to my mom and MIL)

Just finished another custom off my website from a customer. This one was 3ft by 4 ft!!! At first I was scared...I usually paint on my kitchen counter or table. So for this one I painted on my brand new kitchen tile! I love the Poodles In Paris theme...

I was invited to join 7th Ave in their 5 day Launch around the world and since I didn't have time to do 5 different paintings, I decided to do a London themed paintind (dedicated to my husband, who is desperate to move back to London---not happening :)

Haute from the Oven...

WisteriaLane is doing a "Haute from the Oven" launch. I made two paintings...one is a three layer cake, and the other one is a personalized painting perfect for any little girl's play room with a kitchen set.

The Hills.....How I got hooked on this show I have no idea. I somehow found it through youtube on July 4th morning. I went on the mtv site and started watching Laguna Beach all the series, and now I finished Season 2 of the Hills. Great show. Am I the only thirty something who watches this show????tee hee

Why I love my Husband?

Besides the fact that I find him totally irresistible, with his cutie pie dimple, and sexy British accent, he is such a good man. Ok, taking care of the kids while I have mommy time is just not his thing...cleaning up after himself is just not his thing, and of course, sharing his emotions is just not his thing....but

My husband told me that he watched me sleep this morning for an hour, and he said he fell inlove with me all over again. I had no idea he did this, but when I woke up this morning there was a card with breakfast waiting for me on my end table.


Maybe to you this is something your DH does everyday, but mine does not. He does other things for me like laundry, works hard for a living, and goes food shopping for me after work. But without him knowing this (I keep this to myself), I was sad yesterday because my birthday is coming up and I am shocked that I will be 37! I don;t understand how this is possible, as I think of myself in my twenties. I was feeling ugly, fat and annoyed with my self. So the fact that my husband left me a card this morning, just put things in a better perspective.

Just wanted to share this little personal aspect of my life.

New projects....

This pair of handpainted and embellished jeans are for tomorrow's Kaleidoscope Funk Launch....




I started making these for gifts for friends who had babies over the past few months, and then I had a local customer who came by yesterday to pick up her paintings and saw this one I did for my daughter. She ended up ordering one from me (I never priced them and had to think of something quick). I do the basic letters, but this is more elaborate and I have to nail in the letter to the wood board. I may start selling these on my website as a single letter....

Little Bow Peep Painting...

Family Day at the Brookfield Zoo........

I am totally inspired to do more animal paintings with Giraffes, Lions, Tigers, Oh My! I will start another one this week when I catch up on orders. We had a blast today at the Brookfield Zoo (somewhere in Illinois- who knows--LOL) and it was such a perfect perfect day. Not too hot, not too cold- just perfect. Just sharing some photos of our day today.--one photo is rated triple xxx (hahah)
