Of course every time I hear a song that I love, I have a video diary going on in my head...


I had flashbacks of my life- sort of like daydreaming about the past during this song- teenager, 20's, past guys I was inlove with, and now my DH....I even started tearing....I just think my life has changed so much over the years. I am a completely different person. I do sometimes miss my old life. It was sooooooooooooooo much fun, yet so unfullfilling. I partied way to much, and went out pretty much everynight from 18 till marriage at 30. Living in Manhattan and summer shares in the Hamptons every summer. I am glad I was able to live it and get it out of my system....but I do enjoy thinking back to all my old memories. And I can do it with this song playing as my own personal video diary...

Just for Fun...

I was searching high and low for an apron for myself to no avail. Nothing that I liked anyway....then I thought, hey I sew..why don't I just make one. So that was a few months ago. I had an idea now to make a reversible kids apron with appliques from my own handpainted art. This was one that I played around with last week- just for fun.



Don't mind the unironed fabric in my photos...I am not planning on selling this one and just wanted a photo. For myself, I am still on the prowl. LOL

Finalized Mermaid Painting....

Here is the finished product. Will be listing this girlie on Tuesday with my wisterialane girls...we are doing a mini mermaid launch.



If it doesn't sell then I WANT it. I think it is my new fave....

1. My husband and I met in Israel, dated for 1 month and got engaged, and got married 3 months later!

2. I am way too vein. Appearance is very important to me...I always have to look good at all times...and so do my kids. My husband thinks I am nuts...LOL

3. I love love love fro-yo! I think I could just eat that alone!

4. My parents have really nice cherry wood furniture (DR, LR, bedrooms) waiting for me in their home....they refuse to give it to me until my kids are older. So my house now is filled with IKEA furniture.

5. I hate it here in chicago! I am from NYC and miss it. You can't really take the Newyorker out of New york!

6. Two of my really close friends growing up are in the group All Saints (well was)- remember the movie the Beach with Leo--anyway...they are famous now- but the funny thing is when I knew them in my teens they didn't have a British Accent like they do now LOL

7. I am super close with my brother and even though he is 5 years younger, I go to him for advise and spiritual uplift. He is wise beyond his years!!

8. I had braces in 7 and 8th grade. I was going to the ortho the next day to replace the wire that he removed, and that morning I decided to take my brackets off myself. I thought my mother was going to kill me..but instead she said..."wow they look gorgeous!" LOL


that is it. Now I have to think of a few more people to tag!!!

Been MIA ...

I was at a wedding for family over the weekend and am still there partying this week. In the meantime, I was working on a Little Bow Peep Custom I was working on last week...totally not done, still have to add flowers to the field and finish the butterflies, rainbow, castle, and add some magical dolphins to the water (cut off)...

I've been tagged..

thanks to ChristineI have been tagged to describe 7 things about myself that others may not know....ok..hmmmmm this is going to be hard because I am an open book.

1. I am petrified of mice- petrified....I will move out if I ever come across one in my home!!!

2. I was a competitive swimmer. I swam all year around from the age of 4 till about 18. I had a trainer and actually placed in the national junior olympics in 1984 for the 100 meter butterfly...of course it ended there.

3. I was in a sorority in college---Alpha Phi at the University of Maryland. My freshman college roommate begged me to rush with her and I sooooo did not want to. In the end, I got my first choice and she didn't...I felt really bad.

4. I am an avid Diet Dr. Pepper Fan. I drink it all day long. It is soooooo bad...I don't even drink water. I think I drink about 15 cans a day. I need help!

5. I haven't seen my friends from home in 2 years because I refuse to see them till I lose the last 20 pounds that I packed on from my pregnancies. I sometimes still wear my maternity clothes....How sad?

6. Lastly, on a really sad note-- One of my roommate from college (who I loved with a passion and lived with after college as well) committed suicide July 4th 2005. I am still devastated by this tragedy. She was suffering from PPD and jumped off the Chesapeake bay bridge. She was not only wealthy, but stunningly beautiful, vivacious, and full of life. I love you Ellen.

Just finished this custom logo....

She wanted a pink store front and I used some of her previously sold sets as inspiration for the clothes that I designed...




I am usually very critical of my work, but I have to say I really like how this storefront logo came out.
